I’m Matthew, although Matt is fine.

I’m a mathematician by training, a software engineer by trade, and a writer in my spare time.

For my day job, I’m mainly programming in Go to improve the software in biology labs. In my spare time coding I like playing with new and sometimes unusual languages to understand the design decisions that we sometimes take for granted.

When I’m not coding, I write bits of fiction and avant-garde poetry. Sometimes I paint things. Sometimes recognisably.
